'We'll make up the time'. Oh, of course we will. Since our shooting schedule is ordinarily so generous, isn't it? I know plenty of you are satisfied to be drawing your checks from this show forever but some of us have outside projects to be seeing to. The last thing I want to have to do is get written into a coma so I can meet my other commitments.

[Big, huffy sigh.]

Good God, it's like amateur hour never ends. At least these new pages aren't a complete wash. Roxie, dearest, if you could take the bendy straw out of your Absolut for five minutes we have some lines to read.

[OOC: Ivy is Jennifer Irving, high maintenance former sitcom star. She's trying to escape being typecast after years in her former role as dippy romantic heroine Lisa Jane Rose, who has probably never been mentioned in conversation without the phrase 'I hear she's a total bitch in real life'.]

You know, it wouldn't kill you to have some fun with it, every once and a while.

Everyone else seems concerned it would kill them to take it seriously.

It's a goofy TV show. You play a plant lady with poisonous skin. It's not exactly Shakespeare.

I've watched many episodes! There was one where your intrepid little business was threatened by a corporate giant, but you turned out to have some kind of ~scandalous past~ with the local manager of said corporate giant!

It was my favorite.

You're lucky you can't get to other projects. It means you actually have screen time.

Hardly. It means I have to spend four hours a day getting in and out of makeup.

Oh, I didn't count that in. Sorry.

Still, my complaint about my amount of screen time remains.

I thought you'd be used to comas, absurd plot twists, and unusual turns of events?

I was in a sitcom, not a soap opera. And there was only the one coma plot in season six. And my point is that that was a plot, not a thin excuse for a cast member to take a leave of absence.

[amused] I seem to remember the later seasons took a bit more of a turn for the dramatic.

Since you'd burst into flame within five feet of a lit match I can't say I'm particularly frightened.

At least I don't put the match out again out of sheer boredom.
