Behind her, a tangle of her vines lift Harvey Dent's bleeding, unconscious body into view. His mouth is acid-burnt - both sides - both his arms are hanging at weird angles and his fingers are all heavily bruised. The unscarred side of his face is bruised. ~~And that's just the stuff that's visible~~.]

I found this beating Cassel Sharpe. Whoever it belongs to might want to come deal with it.

[She makes a sharp gesture and the vines drop him. Sorry about any major fractures that might have aggravated, Harv.]

Cassel's in the Infirmary.

[And she clicks off. All done. By the time anyone comes to scape Harvey off the floor, she'll be gone.]

Angry. Justified. Exhilarated. And that's exactly what I'm asking.

Given the breach-- [ He's honestly surprised either way. But he lets it go, and then rises from his chair. ] Do you need a robe, or are you going to take my towels back to your cabin?

[ Or does he know she's not going anywhere? Honestly, a relaxed as he is, it's definitely leaning toward the latter. It's like he's-- almost flirting. ]

[Ivy smiles again, sweeter, and straightens up - away from the desk, staying close. She already knows this is going to go differently to how it did in the CES. He's not frustrated or distracted, he's not going to feel like she's hitting him while he's down. He's in a celebratory mood. They both are.]

I thought I might leave them here.

[ Things are so much better when it's mutual, isn't it, Ivy? He smiles now; crooked, boyish. ]

[ And then, fuck being passive, fuck letting her take him. He moves for her, because there's no way the writing isn't on the wall now. He reaches out, to brush fingers through her hair, draw her closer, kiss her of his own volition. ]

[Meh. She liked it better the first time: feeling like she'd won, like he'd surrendered - but this is surrender as well. He can't have forgotten he's doing something wrong; he just doesn't care, at least not for today. And that has value to her too.

The return of his kiss is heated, not at all gentle, and she takes his hand and guides it to the point where her towel's tucked in at her side because if he's going to make the jump he might as well make it the whole way.]

[ Wilde said something about not being lead to temptation, Bruce can find his way there himself. And he does. One item of clothing at a time. He takes his time; there's a lot less damage here, and a lot less vines. ]

[ The next few hours are pleasantly spent. Less emotional damage and a certain bit of less restraint. And once certain needs are met they're tangled in a bedroom he's since had repaired since their last encounter. He lays beside her and relaxes in the afterglow. His eyes flicker green, but the beast remains at bay. ]

Though I know you hate my-- pillow talk... Why did you intervene with Harvey Dent? The boys have plenty of protectors. You could have tipped any one of them off.

But you wanted to do this.

[Ivy's only really still here because she can't be bothered to move, pleasantly exhausted, tracing figure-of-eights on Bruce's bicep with a fingertip and leaving a toxic red trail that heals almost the moment it's inflicted.

The question gives her pause and her gaze slides up to meet his.]

You're really asking why I didn't delegate a job [to a man >:C] that I could more efficiently do myself?

In my experience, you don't like getting your hands dirty. Harvey Dent's-- beneath your notice. He's a fly to your power. [ he shrugs ] Guess I'm reading too much into it.

[ He ignores the (almost pleasant) burn that creeps along his flesh; it's an afterthought. Endorphins are singing, and he realizes this is pretty much the end of objectivity. ]

At this point I think we should unpair. [ Normally he beats around the bush. Angles and uncertainty. But now? ] I seem to have left all objectivity in my other pants.

I'm not sure objectivity is something you need in this job, Doctor. [She withdraws her hand, pushing it into her hair.] Besides, Deadpool graduated, didn't he?

Iris Wildthyme is also sleeping with half the barge and makes emotional overtures to the other half.

[ Bruce doesn't really like Iris. She's uncontrolled, free, wild, alpha female-- things he wants in a woman, or wants to have for himself. ]
