[There's a staticky blur of green and red on the screen, and then it shakes like someone's tapping the side of it. The irate, muttering voice that comes through is decidedly not Ivy's.]

[The picture clears aaaand Shego will be recognisable to anyone who was around before August. She's not really looking older, but decidedly healthier than she did on the Barge; her hair's pulled back into a thick braid and she's wearing a red jacket with a gold Star Fleet insignia on the collar. She looks bewildered for a moment, glancing away from the camera to look at recent transmissions, and her eyebrows lift in recognition.]

Oh. Oh, hey.

[She looks back to the camera and smirks, leaning back in her chair a little.]

Hey, kids. Never thought I'd be around for one of these from this end. How's my very favorite flying rehabilitative facility?

...aaand sorry to whoever's update I just totally ruined, I guess.

Just my stupid boyfriend-- [This is also for Shane's benefit.] --and my parents. It kind of turned out all my friends were stranger bitches I couldn't talk to about it anyway? But Lua came for a visit, and she's pretty much pop culturally retarded, so I figured there was no point in trying to make up an excuse for why we were starting with the first season of The OC.

Like six months? I joined lacrosse, if you can believe it. [She flashes a kind of sheepish smile, like, I know, right?] And I'm applying to college and stuff. And--

[It's at this point that a redheaded teenage boy appears over her shoulder, peering at the screen.] Is she really green? Lemme see--

[She comes back after a moment and flops down, rolling her eyes.] Ugh. Anyway. [Breathe. Big smile.] Where were we? How are you?

Not bad, thanks. Left the Barge around four months ago, enrolled in Starfleet Academy. [She shifts out of the way of the camera so Regina can see what is basically a future-y college dorm room with two beds.] Hence ugly jacket.

I still don't get the appeal in going from hot superhero to GI Jane plus nerd, but whatever. I'm glad you're happy. [Come on, Shego, that is super progressive for her.]

Appreciate it. [She shrugs.] It's the space travel. If the Barge did one thing for me, it was make staying in one place feel like I was settling for less. I'll take being a hot GI Jane nerd in space over being a hot superhero in one city.

So what're you gonna do with college?
